Bhuta Yajna (Samskrit: भूतयज्ञः) is one of the [[Panchamahayajnas (पञ्चमहायज्ञाः)|Panchamahayajnas]] (पञ्चमहायज्ञ-s | five great sacrifices) prescribed to the गृहस्थाश्रमी-s (Grhasthashramis | householders) by the great sages. They are expected to be performed everyday.

* In this manner, having duly offered the sacrificial food, one is adviced to perform 'pradakshina' (प्रदक्षिणा) in all directions and offer Bali offerings to [[Indra (इन्द्रः)|Indra]], [[Yama (यमः)|Yama]], Varuna, Chandra and their followers (Manu 3.87)
