Vibhuti Yoga (Samskrit: विभूतियोगः) is the commonly given name to the tenth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita. This chapter elaborates on the cosmic powers of the supreme reality through which He controls the diverse forces of the Universe explaining how He is the Almighty power that creates, sustains and destroys everything. It is also in this chapter that Shri Krishna explains how ignorance is destroyed and knowledge is gained through Divine Grace alone.

In this Chapter, Arjuna accepts the descent of the Supreme in a human form, but wishes to know from Krishna His Cosmic powers by means of which He controls the diverse forces of the universe. Krishna therefore, describes His Divine glories, bringing within the range of Arjuna’s comprehension His limitless manifestations, and how He upholds everything. Krishna in this Chapter, tells Arjuna that even the devas and highly evolved individuals fail to understand how the Supreme being projects Himself as the universe and all its manifestations. He describes the various qualities that beings manifest according to their Karmas and says that all those qualities such as wisdom, truth, contentment, etc. also originate from the Supreme.
* Divine Grace
Krishna also declares that ignorance is destroyed and knowledge is gained through Divine Grace alone. He says, when devotee is truly and wholly absorbed in Him, there is complete surrender. This single-minded devotion, grants them the power of discrimination; the discrimination that leads them from the unreal to the Real. <ref name=":0" />
