fa:بحث کاربر:Reza1615 Welcome!

Hello, Reza1615, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Qt Designer, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 01:49, 17 January 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Qt Designer

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Qt Designer requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Using Template:Convert in a right-to-left language

I have tried using Convert in the Arabic Wikipedia, and it seems to work well. See the corresponding template on Arabic Wikipedia:

For example, when using {{convert|33|ft|m}} for 33 ft (10 m), the Arabic result gives:

  • (ق -----------> 33 قدم (10 م

I only know how to define unit-codes in Latin-alphabet letters (such as "ft"), so you will have to ask someone else about other languages. -Wikid77 11:27, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

thank you for your answer . where is your general word translator which one translates unite .i know we can modify every 200 templates and translates their units but i searching to assume one transition temple to all of conversion unites.Reza1615 (talk) 13:20, 25 January 2011 (UTC)reza1615
  • Every unit has a separate sub-template, such as for metre, cm, mm, foot, yard, km, mile, kg, pound, coulomb (etc.) having a separate template, such as Template:Convert/m, Template:Convert/cm, Template:Convert/coulomb, etc. They are only "together" in the list of all available units, {{Convert/list_of_units}}, so translating many units can be tedious to implement for another language. We chose to keep each unit as a separate template so that adding another new unit would not affect the prior hundreds of units already defined. Even though English Wikipedia has about 500 units, in practice, only a few units are needed each day, because the users wanting other units are rare. -Wikid77 16:15, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Iraj+Bastami.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Iraj+Bastami.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to Template:NoSpamEmail, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to Template:NoSpamEmail.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as Template:Tlp or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 13:08, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

Interwiki order

Hi Reza, thank you for adding interwiki links to articles. However, they should be placed in alphabetical order, so the "fa" link for Farsi would come before the "fr" link for French. Graham87 01:27, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

I've fixed some of them for you. The links aren't actually in strict alphabetical order, but the order used is based on the names in the local language. See this page on Meta for more details. Graham87 01:57, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi, thank you for your help. in fa.wiki we have more than 1000 links that they haven't fa.wiki link in en.wiki and because of some conflicets bots don't add them! so i tried to add them by hand and adding them in fast way and choosing the correct place is impossible so i added and i hope bots who adds interwiki they will sort it.Reza1615 (talk) 09:26, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Two problems

Hi. I saw this edit. You do understand why I reverted it? In addition, please don't ask people to write you on a page in Farsi, because we don't know it. This talkpage is the only place your bot should be discussed, if and as long as it is operating on the English Wikipedia. Debresser (talk) 17:24, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

I posted on WP:ANI to stop your bot until the misunderstanding about documentation pages is cleared up. Sorry about that, but I see no alternative. Debresser (talk) 17:31, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I've blocked the bot until Reza can fix whatever code glitch is causing the problem. --Elen of the Roads (talk) 18:21, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Hi,
I used stard interwiki.py code i stoped my bot for editing templates please unblock itReza1615 (talk) 19:54, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I think that is good enough. What you could also do is add templates back in, just exclude template subpages, like Template:Whatever/doc (and all other subpages as well, just to be on the safe side). Because your edits to templates themselves have been fine, as far as I have seen. Debresser (talk) 20:09, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Btw, are you going to undo your edits to those documentation pages? I found two: the one above and this one. Debresser (talk) 20:13, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
yes i am trying to find others if they are existed!! it is interwiki.py bug and we have to report.about my talk page i will check this page. and you don't need check my farsi pageReza1615 (talk) 20:19, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. You are showing very responsible behavior. Also consider my suggestion about excluding only template subpages. Debresser (talk) 20:25, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

You said on my talkpage "i used standard code last edition (yesterday update)". The reported problems are from today, so if this is the first reported problem, it is possible that whatever update happened yesterday caused the problem? I'm not a bot coder, so I couldn't say. I will unblock the bot, but please check it's output. Elen of the Roads (talk) 20:28, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

yes i updated my bot yesterday and it caused this problem. i am thinking for a solution to find this problem and please unblock my bot to scan en.wiki for these problems.Reza1615 (talk) 20:34, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
i use this script
python interwiki.py -start:template:! -auto
what should i add to my script to exclude the subpages?
would you please report this bug to developer team?
now i have to find wich edits that are in template subpage and report them for their problem? is it correct? Reza1615 (talk) 20:30, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I checked my bot contributed it had 2800 edits in template namespace and i copied them to excel file and i found only 3 of them were in /doc sub-page 2 of them you edited and another one i reverted. i think the problem is solvedReza1615 (talk) 21:12, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
I also am not a bot coder. I am happy there were only three pages effected. Good luck with editing! Debresser (talk) 21:27, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
thank you, we have to report i don't know where i can report this bug. may be other will have this problem :(Reza1615 (talk) 21:36, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
There is a request on WP:ANI for somebody who knows bots to look at this discussion. And you might approach an editor for help. Perhaps some editor whom you know has a bot himself. Debresser (talk) 00:17, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
I've also posted at Village_pump_(technical)#Is_there_a_bot_doctor_in_the_house?Elen of the Roads (talk) 00:27, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

bug track

Hi Reza, :I am pretty sure the bug is not by the bot but from one wrong initial interwiki link leading to a subpage and interwiki bots may distribute wrong links. btw do not use the code review for reporting a bug request if you are not quite sure whether you have found a bug (and there isn't one). Use our bug tracker at sf instead Xqt (talk) 06:40, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
I also see no reason to assume there is a bug. It is just that interwikis on documentation subpages usually are from the main template page with an includeonly tag, and the bot removed them and replaced them with the interwikis for the documentation page itself. Debresser (talk) 07:18, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
The wrong link distribution came from template at vi-wiki: vi:Bản mẫu:Chú thích bách khoa toàn thư (doc) which leads to the en doc page. Running the bot starting at that page will cause the given problem.  @xqt 07:34, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Hi Xqt, Thank for you bug report link :)

in my opinion we have to define this problem in bot because it had 3 problem an all of them were about /doc subpage. we can add some details in bot that if the /doc interwikis are different leave that pageReza1615 (talk) 07:55, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
We cannot deny bot edits on subpages since we would implement that an interwiki bot should do that but only for the valid link. On the other hand interwiki bots always skips /doc subpages as initial page. Unfortunately vi:-wiki uses a (doc) subpage which is not implemented yet. This must be changed. And btw wrong links are always distributed by interwiki bots if they doesn't find any interwiki conficts. This is really bad but I have no general solution for that. All we can do is to find a solution for a given problem. I am working on it.  @xqt 08:58, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
at this time we can define safe mode for bot. if it finds /doc in a interwiki link also finds without /doc at the same time leave it .also for auto mode it leave that pageReza1615 (talk) 11:16, 23 October 2011 (UTC)
