Narayan acharya: let me begin by saying one important thing, the so-called scale of purusharthas the human values is a distinct concept evolved only by sanatan Dharmis.  Dharma artha Kama moksha see how they have put it moksha in the end Dharma in the other and artha and kama squeezed in between so that they need not go out of these two modes. Like the 2 big rappers of book, you see.  Dharma artha Kama moksha the word moksha is used since the time of sankhyas, let us take a positive meaning, release from narrowness, release from ignorance release from bondage to poverty,mind and so on, if you take It that way then there is nothing wrong in moksha. all these purusharthas that is desires of men are ultimately satisfied, nothing is denied, nothing is denied. We don't have to have Marx or a Frued for these things. You don't import Frued for Kama, or  Marx for artha. Because these are arthaika para kamai para. People who denied the other two that's exactly what we didn’t want to. the man has to be satisfied in physical bodily terms, so there is marriage you can't cannot live like a dog. A man requires a woman woman requires a man.  but let them be householders and devote themselves to Dharma evolution of Dharma and then once they are satiated they will say what more what more where to go from here and then they will say if there is something higher than all these things put together. A beautiful words in upanishad says

ajame Kama heta Shukla Krishna ham vakrim praja janayante…svarupa

This is from great Narayan upanishad and the mundaka upanishad. The meaning is this. Prakriti or physical body or physical matter is aja, the stri linga, it is like a goat a female goat, it's of three colors lohita, Shukla, Krishna. Red color goat, same goat which appears in three colors. Rajas, tamas and sattvika and the he goat loves her, he simply gets infatuated by her enjoys her and then once he is satisfied bhukta bhoja tejati throws it away and goes to next place.

So, Kama and artha are required for your progress upto certain. They are like steps in the ladder, unless Dharma is the goal, artha and kama will work out havoc. Dharma is the goal these three are called three varga. These are the common minimum program in our life. artha, Kama and Dharma, in the order together three constitutes for the progress of the world. What our modi ji calls progress development,this and that.

In the four leg there is mokshada which is individual. government cannot meddle with it.  Even bertand Rusell, great atheist says. There is something called as private excellence, is private excellence a man maybe teacher a man may be a politician for how long? there will come a time where he will be satisfied and he will say no, hereafter I will attempt to my own individual progress. So this scale of values so this called scale of values is very peculiar, unique about the sanatan Dharma and the Buddhism and Jainism as mentioned, they abandoned artha and kama, they have abandoned the warriors duty to protect the country and how will you where will you place soldiers. does the soldiers come in artha and kama? He comes in artha. Artha comes in rashtra as Kautilya  says that a land peopled, a land, peopled by healthy people of various vocation that is called vritti,  bhumi, That is called rashtra, the duty of the king is to protect it of this is what was neglected by the Buddhist and jains. Because kshatriyas themselves became sannyasis. Buddha was there came from kshatriyas family. Mahavira came from kosal of ishwaku family.  They neglected and therefore they became easy prey to Islam in Christians in the sanatan Dharma scheme the whole class of people was cultivated for the protection of the country as Arvindo says, in his great book foundation of Indian culture. These special classes of people were cultivated for the particular vocations or groupings, like brahmins for spirituality, kshatriyas for the protection of the land and the rest of the people for commercial and other transactions. Therefore, it is this strata that is being attacked today. It is this strata that is being ridiculed today because Americans and European don’t understand this and whoever understands it, feels  it  the danger for them They want to blast it and therefore it's our duty to protect it and see that we come up in the same scale then this.
