The Rig Veda, the Māndukya Upanishad and the Śvetāśvatara Upanishad speak of two birds, the Jiva and the Isvara sitting on two branches of a tree as an allusion to the duality of Parvati and Shiva in our manifested forms.  Pārvati is our “mind”, our cognisable self.  Shiva, the observer beyond!  As the bird on the lower branch looks up towards the one sitting on the higher branch, it realises its own glory and gets freed from sorrow.

Buddhi Yoga is a platform that (re)introduces the “seeker’s gaming platform”.  There was a time when the child was seen to be a “seeker”.   He was seen to be constantly questioning and learning through questions.  He needed a “guru”, a guide. He had four paths to choose from, that of a khashtriya, a vaishya, a shudra or a brāhmana.  Depending upon his “sanskāra” he would be born into one of these paths, however, he could choose any that he felt he belonged to.
