== Introduction ==
From birth up to 5 years is considered shishuavastha (शिशुअवस्था). This is the age when the developmental focus is on the Annamaya kosha (अन्नमयकोष) and for absorption of knowledge, ‘chitta’ (चित्त) in Anandmaya kosha (आनंदमयकोष), is most active. The mantra for this age is ‘लालयेत पंचवर्षानी’ and the goal is to fill the child’s life with love for 5 years.
