The hierarchy of school of surgery is as follows, Lord Dhanvantari a Supreme Physician and Surgeon mentioned in almost every classical Bharat's text. This Lord Dhanvantari is amongst 14 Precious stones which are the by-product ocean churning by Deva and Asura i.e. Gods and demons.
